At the “International Conference on Sustainable Carbon Credits and Satoyama-Satoumi Landscapes for Climate Action,” held on April 8–9 at National Cheng Kung University, global experts and representatives from organizations such as UNFCCC and UNDP gathered to address climate change and carbon governance.
During the conference, the “Tainan Declaration” was jointly released, presenting a global framework that integrates carbon markets with socio-ecological production landscapes (SEPLS), emphasizing community participation, indigenous rights, and sustainable development aligned with international climate goals.
Chiu-Chung Young, founder of Tetanti AgriBiotech Inc., was invited to present his enzyme-based transformation technology, highlighting its potential to enhance soil carbon sequestration and contribute to climate solutions.
